Poor old chap

This lovely old Chiltern had a lot of damage to his head and one arm was a lot shorter than the other. He is 86 years old and as I started work on his head, as I did it began to split I started to darn it but another split appeared as the cloth had become to worn and weak to sew, so I decided to line inside and recover the whole front head section. I also opened up the arm and added a piece to lengthen it. He was a challenging bear but i was pleased with the outcome.

His owner had very sadly lost her parents and her sister and this old bear was the last special link between them all including her grown up son who promised to take very good care of him in the future, it was so heart warming to bring such joy.
